Sicker still

Well, tomorrow didn't bring what we hoped. It's Thursday...Hattie is STILL sick and I am too! I've almost completely lost my voice, so don't bother calling me...just text! I feel alright - just a little chest congestion, sore throat, and a cough. But Hattie - UGH - has been horrible. She always wants snuggles which was sweet the first two days but now is too much. Gratefully her fever is gone and she just has a cough and a runny nose, which she refuses to wipe herself. Every time she feels it starting to run she hands me the wet wipe (she won't let me use Kleenex) and says, "Just be soft okay?" Any advice on how to teach kids to blow out through their nose? Hattie can't seem to figure it out. But I think we are on the mend. Today has been the best day yet. Cross your fingers for tomorrow.

My dear! I'm so sorry to hear it! I remember plenty of times with sick miserable kids just thinking, I can't do it anymore. Enough already. But you know, it always works out. There's almost always a little more to give. I hope you all get well soon.

As for nose blowing, no tricks that I know. Some of mine have gotten it early, some took forever. No need to ask Val, though. She's probably trying to raise her kids in the psycho "no nose blowing" way. Crazy, I tell you!

Hang in there! We love you!

oh man. i hope the wet wipes aren't making her nose too soar. Poor girl. And POORER YOU!
Remember how I taught callie to blow her nose? It worked for Brooklyn and once Hattie did it for me.
